Stress Wave Timers can measure sound wave propagation time between two sensors with microsecond precision. The signal is generated at the start sensor either by a hammer tap or by an electrical impulse. There are different timers for measurement in seedlings, trees or wood. The measured propagation time can be used to calculate velocity between the two sensors which is an important parameter of material quality. |
